Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Education (responsible for Higher Education) Mychailo Wynnyckyj was born in Canada. After studying in the UK at Cambridge University, he moved to Ukraine in 2001. A lecturer at the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and at Ukrainian Catholic University’s business school, he is the author of Ukraine's Maidan, Russia's war: A Chronicle and Analysis of the Revolution of Dignity (Ibidem, 2019).
